This is our last chance to save the future of humanity, Together

The COVID-19 pandemic has reminded us that Health is our most basic human right. This crisis we are going through highlights with indisputable certainty that our future depends on healthy ecosystems, and that the time has come to act collectively to support Life.

We, at the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, share the strong conviction that together we can positively rise from this crisis. By joining our forces, we have the power to create a more united and sustainable world for the generations to come and make a vital shift.

Engaging for Planetary Health

Set up in 2006 with the aim to protect the environment and promote sustainable development at a local and global scale, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation focuses its efforts on three main courses of action: Planetary Health and Climate Change, Biodiversity and Water Resources, and funds projects in the most endangered regions globally. In nearly fifteen years, the Foundation has contributed to more than 500 projects.

Discover our actions

The low acoustic pollution due to the global pandemic gave rise to an exceptional scientific mission to listen to the marine environment in the Pelagos sanctuary, in the Mediterranean.

In Northern Togo, 1000 families were equipped with solar lamps to sustain their daily activities and improve their living conditions.

The Southern Ocean is home to various cetacean species whose current status remains little known. A 20-day visual and acoustic survey was conducted in the Western Antarctic Peninsula to establish baseline data of the cetacean populations.
